What is the Information and Communication Technologies program?
UW-Stout's Master of Science (M.S.) in Information & Communication Technologies (ICT) is designed to further the education of working professionals. In today's fast-paced technical world, leaders are needed in the areas of information technology, network security, enterprise systems, digital marketing and e-learning. This graduate degree helps you become that needed leader. (ICTs) are technologies that are used to produce, store, process, disseminate and exchange information. Evaluation of information and communication technologies. Impacts and development of information and communication technologies in organizations and society.
ICT 710 Learning Technologies | 3 cr. | Summer 2024
Overview and selection criteria of instructor-led, computer-based, and distance learning systems for delivering content to trainees in the workplace. Includes the development of training materials in a variety of formats.
ICT 732 Technology Futures | 3 cr. | Fall 2024
Apply systems thinking in developing frameworks for forecasting technology driven topics. Examine the implications of technological change along with social change for various futures.
ICT 733 Technology Adoption and Implications | 3 cr. | Spring 2025
Technological changes across historical, political, and social contexts. Actionable recommendations regarding technology usage and systems in the workplace.
ICT 780 ICT Portfolio | 1 cr. | Fall 2025
Develop and present a portfolio that contains artifacts and research-based reflections that demonstrate the competencies for the M.S. in Information and Communication Technologies. The final product is an electronic portfolio.

Information systems concepts and technology for contemporary enterprise. Includes hardware, software, networks and enterprise-specific information systems. Emphasis on business-prudent solutions/products based on clearly identified needs/goals.
INMGT 750 Organization Development | 3 cr. | Fall 2024
Blend of theory, evidence-based research, and practice of organization development to increase awareness, develop, and assist students as leaders of internal and external organizational change. Organization Development (OD) theories, models, process, research, and application of OD principles. Develop and lead change initiatives that enable organizations to be strategic and competitive.
ICT 601 IT Policy and Audit | 3 cr. | Spring 2025
Information technology policy, regulatory and audit issues, international standards, and internal security strategies.
INMGT 630 Teams and Negotiations | 3 cr. | Summer 2025
Background and history of employee negotiation, teams as a method of employee involvement, analysis of different team structures and the planning processes used, support systems needed to maintain teams, phases of team development, facilitation skills, and team problem-solving methods.
INMGT 616 People Process Culture | 3 cr. | Fall 2025
High performing people process culture organizations; integration of sociology, applied psychology, and organization behavior subject matter areas.
INMGT 645 Business Process Management | 3 cr. | Fall 2025
Holistic understanding of the Business Process Management (BPM) discipline required to model, analyze, design, manage, and improve an organization’s enterprise-wide processes. Includes process-based continuous improvements to achieve organizational strategies and objectives.
